ARAN'S GIFT EVENT
RULES AND REGULATIONS
BY ENTERING THIS EVENT YOU MUST AGREE TO THESE RULES, WHICH CREATE A CONTRACT SO READ THEM CAREFULLY BEFORE ENTERING.
1. SPONSOR:
Nexon America Inc, ("Sponsor") who is solely responsible for all aspects of this event ("Event").
2.EVENT PERIOD AND ENTRY; NO PURCHASE NECESSARY:
This Event may only be entered by Internet, during the period commencing at 12:01 A.M., December 10, 2009, and ending at 11:59 P.M., January 13, 2010 (the "Event Period"), as a registered member ("Member") of www.nexon.net (the "Web Site"), which said Web site includes Sponsor's online game, MapleStory ("MapleStory"). To be eligible to enter and win, you must first visit the Web site and log in by providing your Member Name and Password. For purposes of these Official Rules ("Rules"), all times and days are Pacific Time. If you are not a Member, you may easily become one and register for free by filling out the simple Registration Form through the link on the site: www.nexon.net. There is no purchase necessary to enter this Event; however, normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by your online service will apply.
3. PROCEDURES:
You may enter the Event by leveling up your Aran character to Level 30 or greater during the Event Period. On or about January 20th, and after the close of the Event Period, all those Members who have successfully leveled up to Level 30 or greater with their Aran character (collectively referred to as the "Winners") during the Event Period shall be eligible to receive one (1) of five (5) in game items ("Item" or Items") for their highest leveled non-Aran character, subject to the conditions set forth herein. After the Winners are determined, Sponsor shall send notification to each Winner via e-mail which shall also include a request for Winner's login ID. Winners shall have 48 hours to respond to Sponsor's message and supply its login information to be eligible to receive the Item. Upon response, Sponsor shall then verify whether a Winner is in good standing with Sponsor's Web Site. Disqualification and the selection of an alternate winner may result from any of the following: [1] In the event Sponsor identifies a Winner who has been banned from the Website, [2] the return of any notice as undeliverable; [3] potential winner's failure to respond to Sponsor's notification within 48 hours of receipt; [4] using means of playing your Aran character that are deemed unacceptable to Sponsor ( including, but not limited to the use of hacks, bots, memory manipulation, cracking wz files) that would violate Sponsor’s EULA and Terms of Use and create an unfair advantage when playing the MapleStory and [5] any other non-compliance of the Rules. In the event of disqualification, a new winner will be chosen subject to the same procedure set forth above. A list of the Winners may be provided, by sending a self addressed stamped envelope to Nexon America Inc. at 137 N. Larchmont Blvd., #619 Los Angeles, CA 90004-3704. Allow 8-10 weeks for reply.
4.WINNING ITEMS:
Each of the Winners shall be entitled to receive one (1) of five (5) in game items listed below for their highest level non-Aran character. The Item shall be distributed randomly and at Sponsor’s sole discretion. The Items are as follows:

Upon verification as set forth above, the Item will be sent to each Winner within 30 days of verification. None of the Items have any cash value and are neither transferable nor redeemable for cash. No substitution allowed, unless elected by Sponsor at its own discretion. ODDS OF WINNING WILL DEPEND ON THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ENTRIES RECEIVED.
5. LIMITATIONS:
You must possess in your MapleStory Member account one or more additional non-Aran characters to be eligible to receive an Item. No more than one (1) Item will be awarded per Member chosen by Sponsor. In event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person entered into the Event, the Entry will be deemed to be the person whose name the membership is registered. Entries by any method other than set forth above are void. Any use of automated or programmed methods of effecting Entry is prohibited. Open only to persons 13 or older upon entering who are legal residents of, and physically located within, the 50 states, Washington D.C. or Canada (excluding Quebec) ("Territory") and not employees of Sponsor, its parent, subsidiary or affiliated companies; the advertising, promotional or fulfillment agencies of any of them (individually and collectively, "Entities"); nor members of their households or immediate families. In addition, persons entering the Event must be in good standing with Sponsor's Web site and have not been banned from MapleStory. Neither the Entities, nor any of their officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents or representatives (individually and collectively, "Releasees") are responsible for entries from persons residing, or physically located, outside the Territory, or entries that are altered, delayed, deleted, destroyed, failed, fraudulent, improperly accessed, inaccurate, incomplete, interrupted, late, lost, misrouted, multiple, non-delivered, stolen, tampered with, unauthorized or unintelligible; or any printing, production, technical, electronic or other errors; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections; miscommunications; failed phone, computer hardware or software or telephone transmissions; technical failures; unauthorized human intervention; traffic congestion; garbled or jumbled transmissions; undeliverable e-mails resulting from any form of active or passive e-mail filtering; insufficient space in entrant's e-mail account to receive e-mail; or other errors of any kind, whether due to electronic, mechanical or human error or other causes; even if caused by the negligence of any of the Releasees. Each of such potential entries will be disqualified. Void where prohibited or restricted by law and subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial, local and municipal laws and regulations.
6. CONDITIONS:
Each Member by entering the Event agrees that:
[1] he/she will abide by and be bound by the Rules and the Sponsor's decisions;
[2] the Releasees are not responsible for claims, injuries, losses or damages of any kind resulting, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from the awarding, delivery, acceptance, use, misuse, possession, loss or misdirection of the Item; participation in the Event or in any activity or travel related thereto or from any interaction with, or downloading of, computer Event information;
[3] winner's acceptance of the Item constitutes the grant to Sponsor and assigns of an unconditional right to use winner's name and Item information and/or statements about the promotion for any publicity, advertising and promotional purposes, if applicable, without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law;
[4] in the event of viruses, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, Acts of God, acts or regulations of any governmental or supra-national authority, war, national emergency, accident, fire, riot, strikes, lock-outs, industrial disputes, acts of terrorism or other matters beyond the Sponsor's reasonable control, corrupt, prevent or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Event, so that it cannot be conducted as originally planned, the Sponsor has the right to cancel, modify, terminate or suspend the Event; and in such event, to select a winner by random drawing from among all eligible Entries received up to such time of cancellation, modification, termination or suspension;
[5] the Releasees are not responsible for typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of this Event, including but not limited to: errors in the advertising, Rules and selection and announcement of the winner;
[6] any portion of the Item not accepted or used by the winner will be forfeited and
[7] the Releasees are not responsible for any inability of the winner to accept or use the Item (or any portion thereof) for any reason.
